Golden Gate Estates Area Civic Association Inc. was established on April 10, 1979 as a not-for-profit Association, to promote and advance the principals of civic betterment, for the furtherance of aims and principles of civic improvement, instilling a high standard of civic duty and obligation amongst its members and the general public, providing a vehicle for research and study into methods of civic betterment, providing for a means for meeting and dealing with problems peculiar to a new and growing community, and encouraging development of educational projects along civic lines for its members and the general public.

Golden Gate Estates Area Civic Association is a non-partisan, non-political charitable organization engaging civic dialogue on issues and interests of the Golden Gate Estates Area communities. GGEACA is open to all residents and business of the Golden Gate Estates Area, and provides for non-voting Associate Memberships for interested individuals and business located outside the define Golden Gate Estates Area.

GGEACA publishes a monthly newsletter "Estates Area Voice" and maintains and Association website at www.Estates-Civic.org. Monthly GGEACA General Membership meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month (except July and August) at 7:00 pm at Golden Gate Fire District Station #71 Meeting Room – 100 13th St Southwest – just south of Golden Gate Blvd behind the Estates Library. Monthly GGEACA Board of Directors meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month (except July and August) at 6:00 pm at Golden Gate Fire District Station #71 Meeting Room – 100 13th St Southwest – just south of Golden Gate Blvd behind the Estates Library. All members are invited to attend.

Estates Area Businesses are encouraged to participate in Estates Business Marketplace, a segment of the General Membership Meeting dedicated to bringing attention to Estates Area business members and encouraging members to do business with GGEACA member businesses.

Members are encourage to invite their families, friends, associates, and business contacts to join GGEACA and become aware of the activities, opportunities, issues, and news of the Golden Gate Estates Area community. 
Members are also encouraged to participate on a committee or project and engage in their particular aspect of community interest to the benefit of the organization as a whole.
