Generous Donors Support GGEACA Holiday Charities
The Golden Gate Fire District, together with the Children's Network of SW Florida and area Elementary and Middle Schools, has organized an exciting new Golden Gate Area charity Drive for the 2009 Christmas season!! Named "Fired Up for the Holidays", this effort will be especially timely considering the exceedingly difficult economic times this year.
Our Golden Gate Estates Area Civic Association has joined efforts together with Golden Gate Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions Club, the Golden Gate Civic Assoc., the Homeowner's Assoc. of the Estates and other area civic and charitable organizations to assist the Firemen in this worthy campaign.
Donations are being solicited of new, unwrapped toys, holiday supplies, new clothing, and non-perishable foods. This local drive is deserving of our special effort this year, as it will all be donated to Golden Gate Area children with the help of the Children's Network of SW Florida and Collier District Schools!!
Our Civic Association will play a major role in this special Golden Gate drive!! As part of our contribution, GGEACA , through our Charity Fund and with the help of several generous donors, has already purchased and delivered over 375 premium canned hams for local distribution!!
So please, join your Estates Area neighbors and friends in donating to the "Fired Up for the Holidays"
charity effort. Early donations can be delivered to any of the area drop-off locations as listed on the attached flyer. Get involved in a great local charity effort!!
Tom and Lutu Coffey of Naples and Jay Bishop of Development Properties, Inc. have each donated $500 to our Holiday Charity Fund, allowing us to help make the Golden Gate "Fired Up for the Holidays" drive a great success. All members join in thanking them for their special consideration for our area needy families and children. Thank you to all donors for caring and sharing!
